This session, led by Lilian Lustre, will highlight how Sanofi is using data and AI to modernize compliance oversight, with a special focus on our SAP Concur AI–driven expense monitoring solution. Through the Assurance Function Analytics (AFA) data lake, we integrate enterprise systems to detect risks at scale and enable real time insights. A flagship example is the automation of travel and expense approvals, where AI now reviews 70% of transactions, reducing payment time from 7 to 2 days and cutting auditor workload by nearly 70%, while significantly improving fraud detection and identifying recurring behavioral patterns. These advances illustrate how data science and responsible AI are reshaping assurance functions—making monitoring more efficient, targeted, and proactive, and reinforcing our global commitment to integrity.
